Applying Lessons Learned From For-Profit Camps
(December 2005): Skip Vichness, founder and owner of successful nonprofit camps, has assembled leading camp personnel in both the profit and nonprofit words to share experiences in leadership, marketing and program excellence.
Fundraising: Approaches That Work
(April 2005): A panel of experts opened the conference with a discussion of development challenges facing nonprofits in general and camps in particular in today’s competitive fundraising environment. Jonathan Cohen of the Cohen camps, a participant in the Grinspoon Institute’s technology pilot study, led a presentation about using technology to enhance the work of fundraising. Participants engaged in role-playing to solicit gifts and began the hands-on work of developing fundraising plans.
