Create Your Match 3

Overview:

Create Your Match 3 is the follow-up matching grant program for camps that completed Meet Your Match 3 and Meet Your Match 3.5. This program is intended to help camps continue to cultivate and motivate their donors.

Key Guidelines:

In Phase 1 (July 1, 2009 - February 26, 2010), each camp raises minimum gifts of $25,000 from donors (up to a $75,000 maximum). These gifts are matched 1:1 by the Harold Grinspoon Foundation to create a pool of matching funds of up to $150,000. Pledges must be paid in full by May 31, 2010.

In Phase 2 (ending October 29, 2010), the pool of matching funds of up to $150,000 is used to match 1:2 all eligible gifts of $3,600 or more. Gifts in both phases may come from new or previous donors and from individuals, families (spouse, parents, grandparents, siblings, and children), foundations or corporations. Gifts from a Jewish Federation or the Foundation for Jewish Camp are excluded. To be eligible for matching funds, at least one-third of each pledge amount must be paid within 60 days of submission of the pledge application to the Harold Grinspoon Foundation; the remaining pledge amount must be paid in full by October 31, 2012.

Camps must use at least 50% of Create Your Match 3 funds for capital improvements and may use the remainder for capital improvements, scholarships, endowments or annual operating needs.
